Shipping Protection
Shipping Protection is an optional add-on that provides additional coverage for eligible shipping issues that may occur while your order is in transit. Because Aqua SD ships live coral, fish, inverts, anemones, clams, and other sensitive marine livestock, safe and timely delivery is extremely important. While we carefully pack every order and use overnight shipping services whenever required, delays and carrier-related problems can still happen once a package leaves our facility.
Shipping Protection helps provide extra support in the event of qualified shipping issues, including delays caused by FedEx or other third-party carrier interruptions, missed delivery commitments, routing delays, weather-related transit issues, or other carrier problems that may affect the condition of your order.
When Shipping Protection is added to your order, Aqua SD may be able to provide additional coverage options if an eligible shipping issue occurs. This may include replacement, store credit, or other support depending on the situation, the items affected, and the details of the shipment.
If Shipping Protection is declined or disabled, you understand that Aqua SD may not be able to provide the same level of replacement, store credit, or coverage if a shipping delay, FedEx delay, carrier issue, or third-party shipping interruption occurs. We will still do our best to assist every customer, but coverage may be limited without Shipping Protection.
Shipping Protection does not replace our standard DOA policy. Customers are still required to follow all claim instructions and time windows. Any issue must be reported within the required claim period after delivery, and clear photos may be required. Photos should show the affected item, the original shipping bag, the shipping box, and any visible damage or condition concerns.
Shipping Protection only applies to eligible shipping-related issues. It does not cover problems caused by missed deliveries, incorrect addresses provided by the customer, refusal of delivery, failure to pick up or receive the package, improper acclimation, delays in opening the package after delivery, or issues reported outside of the required claim window.
By purchasing Shipping Protection, you are adding an extra layer of coverage for your live order during transit. By declining Shipping Protection, you acknowledge that Aqua SD’s ability to provide replacement, store credit, or additional coverage may be limited if a carrier-related issue occurs.
Our goal is always to pack carefully, ship responsibly, and help our customers whenever possible. Shipping Protection simply gives both Aqua SD and the customer more flexibility when unexpected shipping problems happen outside of our direct control.
