Aqua SD – Frequently Asked Questions

Shipping & Orders

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, we offer free shipping on orders over $350.
If your order does not meet this minimum, a shipping module must be purchased before we can ship your order.

What shipping methods do you use?
We ship all live corals using:

  • FedEx Overnight Shipping

This ensures the best chance of survival for all livestock.

Do you ship in extreme weather?
We monitor weather conditions closely. If temperatures are too hot or too cold, we may:

  • Delay shipping
  • Add heat or cold packs as needed

Your coral’s safety is our priority.

What is the minimum order for shipping?
We no longer require a minimum order amount.
As long as the correct shipping module is purchased, we can ship any order size.

Combining & Managing Orders

Can I add more corals to my order after purchasing?
Yes!
Any orders placed before your selected delivery date can be combined and shipped together.
You only need to purchase one shipping module per combined order.

Can I combine orders from different platforms (Whatnot, Website, eBay)?
Yes!
As long as shipping is paid for on one platform, we can combine all orders.

Please email us before your scheduled delivery date with:

  • Your name/username
  • Order numbers

So we can ensure everything is included.

Why hasn’t my order shipped yet?
Common reasons include:

  • Shipping module not purchased
  • Incorrect shipping module purchased
  • Waiting for scheduling confirmation

If unsure, feel free to contact us.

What if I bought the wrong shipping module?
No problem—just contact us.
We’ll help you purchase the correct one before scheduling your shipment.

Coral Information

Do you sell WYSIWYG corals or multiples?
Both!

  • WYSIWYG – You receive the exact coral shown
  • Multiples Available – You receive a similar piece (not exact)

Multiples will always be labeled in the title or image.

How experienced is Aqua SD?
Aqua SD has over 20 years of experience in the saltwater coral industry, with one of the largest selections of corals available.

Delivery & Pickup

Do you offer local pickup?
Yes!
Local pickup is available at our San Diego location.

Please contact us in advance so we can prepare your order.

DOA & Issues

What happens if my coral arrives DOA (Dead on Arrival)?
We offer a DOA guarantee:

  • Must be reported within 2 hours of delivery
  • Clear photos are required

We provide:

  • Replacement or store credit (no refunds)

We are not liable for FedEx delays. However, if shipping protection is purchased, we will cover the order.

What if I entered the wrong shipping address?
Contact us immediately.
We are not responsible for issues caused by incorrect addresses.

Order Changes & Policies

Can I cancel my order?
Orders can be canceled with a 10% cancellation fee.

This fee covers costs such as:

  • Reserving inventory
  • Updating stock across platforms
  • Non-refundable payment processing fees
  • Labor and preparation time

Because we sell live animals, canceled orders often result in lost sales opportunities.

Can I hold my order and ship later?
We are happy to hold orders for up to 3 weeks.

After 3 weeks:

  • We cannot guarantee coral health
  • We are no longer responsible for the items

Unless prior communication and arrangements have been made.

We strongly encourage staying in contact regarding your shipping plans.

Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?
Yes!
We offer bulk deals depending on availability.
