Aqua SD Shipping Policy


Section 1: Free Shipping

  1. Shipping Rates

    We offer flat-rate overnight shipping based on your order total and location:

    Outside California:

    • Orders over $100 → $39.99 (Standard Overnight)
    • Orders under $100 → $50.00 (Standard Overnight)

    California Orders:

    • Orders over $100 → $29.99 (Standard Overnight)
    • Orders under $100 → $39.99 (Standard Overnight)

    Saturday Delivery:

    • Additional $25.00 fee (must be requested in advance)
  2. Free Shipping applies to orders over $350
  3. Exclusions
    1. Free shipping does not apply to:
      1. Saturday deliveries
      2. Live Sales
      3. Flash Sales

Section 2: Live Sale and Flash Sale Policy

  1. Customers may purchase a maximum of three (3) special deal items (e.g., $1 or $5 pieces) during any Live or Flash Sale.
  2. Discount codes, store credits, and gift certificates are not valid during Live or Flash Sales.

Section 3: Shipping Schedule

  1. Shipments are processed Monday through Friday.
  2. Friday shipments for Saturday arrival incur an additional $25 fee.
  3. Customers must select their desired arrival date on the checkout calendar.
  4. There is a $100 minimum order (excluding shipping) for all shipped orders. (This minimum does not apply to local pick-ups.)

Section 4: Combining Orders

  1. eBay Orders:
    If shipping has already been paid, you can combine your order at no extra charge by selecting “Ship with eBay Order.”
  2. Website Orders:
    If a second order is placed on our website and shipping has already been paid, select “Ship with Previous Web Order” to combine at no additional cost.

Section 5: Shipping Carrier and Service

  • All orders are shipped via FedEx Priority Overnight Service.
  • Delivery Times:
  • Typically before 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM, or 3:00 PM (local time).
  • Delivery times vary for rural areas.
  • Signature is not required for delivery.
  • Customers will receive an email with a FedEx tracking number by 6:30 PM PST (9:30 PM EST) on the day of shipment.

Section 6: FedEx Hold for Pickup (Recommended)

We recommend using FedEx Hold for Pickup for better coral safety and earlier access to your shipment:

  1. Packages are available earlier in the day.
  2. They are stored in a climate-controlled facility, avoiding truck temperature fluctuations.
  3. Please check your local FedEx Center’s pickup times before choosing this option.

Section 7: Bagging and Packaging Process

  1. Each coral is inspected for health before packaging.
  2. Corals are bagged in clear poly bags and labeled with a Coral ID number matching your invoice.
  3. Bags are sealed using high-grade poly clips to prevent leaks.
  4. Each coral is verified and checked off by our shipping team.
  5. Items are grouped into larger bags and placed in a styrofoam-lined box (box size varies).
  6. Shipping peanuts are used to secure contents.
  7. Depending on weather conditions, a heat pack, ice pack, or none will be added for temperature control.

Section 8: Live Arrival Guarantee and DOA Policy

  1. Aqua SD guarantees live arrival on all coral shipments.
  2. In the rare event of a DOA (Dead on Arrival):
    • Email clear photos within 2 hours of delivery to aquasandiego@gmail.com.
    • Refunds are not issued; replacements are provided on future orders.
    • Shipping costs for replacements are paid by the customer.

Section 9: Guarantee Limitations

The Live Arrival Guarantee is void if:

  1. The delivery is refused.
  2. No one is available to receive the package.
  3. The package is not picked up from your FedEx facility within 6 hours of arrival.

Aqua SD is not responsible for delays caused by weather, mechanical issues, or FedEx service disruptions.


Section 10: Additional Terms and Conditions

  1. Corals can be held for up to 2 weeks with prior arrangement.
    1. After that period, Aqua SD is not responsible for the coral.
  2. Applies to both local pick-ups and orders without a chosen shipping date.
  3. Minimum order value for shipment: $100 (excluding shipping).
  4. Aqua SD is not responsible for incorrect addresses provided by the customer.
  5. Shipping fees are non-refundable.
  6. A 20% restocking fee applies to any canceled orders.
  7. The Live Arrival Guarantee does not apply to local pick-up orders.
