Aqua SD Live Arrival, Shipping, and Refund Policies


Section 1: Live Arrival Guarantee

At Aqua SD, we guarantee the live arrival of all corals.
In the unlikely event of a DOA (Dead on Arrival):

  • Please send clear digital pictures of the affected corals within 2 hours of delivery to aquasandiego@gmail.com.
  • We do not offer refunds, but we will provide replacements or store credit for future orders.
  • Shipping costs for replacements are not covered.

Section 2: Important Terms & Conditions

  1. This guarantee is void if:
    1. The order is refused at delivery,
    2. No one is available to receive the package, or
    3. The package is not picked up within 6 hours of arrival from your FedEx facility.
  2. Aqua SD is not responsible for delays caused by FedEx or other third-party shipping interruptions.
  3. A minimum order of $100 (excluding shipping) is required for all shipments.
    1. This minimum does not apply to local pick-ups.
  4. Holding Policy:
    1. Corals can be held for up to 2 weeks without prior arrangements.
    2. After 2 weeks, Aqua SD is no longer responsible for the corals.
    3. For local pick-up or unpaid shipping balances, this same policy applies.
    4. If no arrangements are made, we offer a 50% store credit after 30 days.
    5. After 60 days, no compensation will be issued.
  5. If any coral is not in suitable condition to ship, we will contact you by phone and email to arrange a substitution of equal value.
    1. If we cannot reach you or if you no longer wish to receive the coral, a store credit will be issued for the unshipped item.
  6. The cut-off time for orders is 12 PM PST on the ship-out date.
  7. For the safety of the animals, if weather conditions are extreme (too hot or too cold), we may reschedule your shipment for optimal survival rates.
  8. Gift certificates and store credits are valid for 6 months from the date of issue and will expire afterward.
  9. If FedEx informs us that delivery will take longer than 24 hours, we reserve the right to reschedule shipment to protect coral health.
  10. Aqua SD is not responsible for shipments sent to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.
  11. A 20% cancellation fee applies to canceled orders or unwanted items.
  12. Shipping charges are non-refundable, with no exceptions.
  13. No replacements will be issued for previously replaced items.
  14. This guarantee does not apply to local pick-up orders.

By placing an order with Aqua SD, you agree to all of the above terms and conditions.

We reserve the right to correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time without prior notice, including after an order is submitted.


Section 11: Prohibited Uses

You may not use the site for unlawful, harmful, or malicious purposes, including:

  • Violating laws
  • Uploading malware or viruses
  • Harassing others
  • Collecting personal information without consent

Violation of these rules may result in termination of service.


Section 12: Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

AquaSD does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.
All products and services are provided “as is” without warranty.
AquaSD is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services.


Section 13: Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AquaSD and its affiliates, employees, and partners against claims arising from your violation of these Terms.


Section 14: Severability

If any portion of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.


Section 15: Termination

These Terms remain effective until terminated by either party.
AquaSD may terminate your access if you breach any provision.


Section 16: Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with posted policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and AquaSD.


Section 17: Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California, USA, specifically:

Section 18: Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or change these Terms at any time.
Continued use of the website after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Store Policy

  • We guarantee live arrival.  In the unlikely event of a DOA (Dead on Arrival), we will need a clear digital picture within 2 hours of delivery.  E-mail the picture/s to aquasandiego@gmail.com.  
  • We do not give refunds.  We send replacements and/or give store credit on future orders.  We do not cover the  shipping costs on replacements.
  • Guarantee is void if you refuse delivery of your order, if no one is available to receive the package, or package was not picked up from your UPS facility in a timely manner (within 6 hours of arrival).
  • Aqua SD cannot be held responsible for mechanical or weather delays by shipping company
  • There is a minimum order of $100 (excluding shipping) for all orders being shipped out.  This does not apply for local pick up.
  • We can hold corals for up to two weeks without prior arrangements made. After this two-week period, we are not responsible for the corals. This also applies to local pick up, shipments that did not select a shipping date on the calendar and orders that have not paid shipping by the time they are supposed to be sent out. If no arrangements have been made to hold your items for any longer than two weeks, after 30 days we can issue you 50% store credit, after 60 days we cannot offer any compensation for money spent.
  • If any coral is not in good condition to be shipped, we will contact you via phone and email to substitute it for a different one of equal value. If we are not able to get a hold you, we will give you store credit for the coral that was not shipped.
  • Cut off time for any new orders will be 12pm PST on ship out date.
  • For the safety of the animals, if weather conditions are too cold/hot we will reach out via phone and email to reschedule your shipment.  We want to ensure the best chance of survival for these animals.
  • We are not responsible for incorrect addresses given.
  • Shipping is non refundable​, no exception
  • There is a 20% restocking fee to any cancelled orders
  • This guarantee does not apply for local pick up
